Update: Provincial police say the search for a missing man in the Bognor Marsh area has reached a tragic conclusion.
On Wednesday, at about 12:45 p.m., police received a report that a 38-year-old man named Jason was believed to be in the Bognor Marsh area. He had last been seen on December 2 in Peel Region and officers were concerned about his wellbeing.
On Thursday morning, police said area residents would notice an increased police presence in the area of Bognor Marsh as they searched for the man.
However, on Thursday afternoon, police announced that the man had been found dead.
Police do not suspect foul play.

Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau seek assistance from the public in locating a missing person from Mississauga.
Jason was last seen on December 2, 2023, at 12:30 a.m. at a residence in the area of Rathburn Road West and Confederation Parkway in Mississauga.
Jason is described as 6’0 ft, 215 lbs, medium build, short brown hair, beard, brown eyes and a tattoo on right inner-arm/bicep area. He is possibly wearing a dark long sleeve shirt, dark jogging pants, dark coat and a black Toronto Raptors toque.
Police and family are concerned for Jason’s well-being.
