Calgary police say a man who hasn’t been seen since early February has been found dead.
Alim Salim Bhanji, 43, went missing from his home in the 200 block of 15th Avenue S.E. on Feb. 8.
Police issued a plea to the public for information on his whereabouts on Tuesday, shortly after he was believed to have been seen in the Beltline. However, officials now say his body has been found.
His death is not considered to be criminal in nature.
No further information is expected to be released.

After following all leads, the Calgary Police Service Missing Persons Team is turning to the public for assistance in locating a man last seen earlier this month.
Alim Salim BHANJI, 43, was last seen on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023, downtown in the 200 block of 15 Avenue S.E. Officers are looking to locate BHANJI to confirm his well-being.
He is described as 5’8” tall, approximately 200 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a salt and pepper beard. He may be wearing glasses and has tattoos on his hand and neck, as well as a tattoo of a lion on one of his arms.
