UPDATE:
An individual, located deceased in the Ottawa River in Clarence-Rockland, has been identified and his death has been deemed a homicide.
On Saturday, May 17th, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers from the Russell County OPP responded to a report of a body discovered in the Ottawa River, near Dallaire Street. A postmortem examination has confirmed the deceased to be Robert Prevost, 63 years old of Clarence-Rockland, who was reported missing in early March 2025. He was last seen at his home on Laurier Street in early February 2025.
The Russell County OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Assistance was provided by OPP Forensic Identification Services and several other OPP specialized units.

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public’s help locating a 63-year-old man from Clarance-Rockland who has been missing for more than a month.
Robert Prevost was last seen at his home on Laurier Street in mid-February, OPP said.
He is described as white, 5-foot-6 (168 cm) tall, with a slim build, long light brown and grey hair, and blue/grey eyes.
He might be wearing a knee-length, light brown winter coat.
