The search for a missing 12-year-old boy who went missing in Mississauga on Thursday night is over after the child was found safe and sound.
Late Friday night Peel Regional Police said 12-year-old Ethan was found by a member of the public “in good health and spirits,” adding he was being reunited with his family.
No further details were released as to where the boy was found.
“Thank you to all who shared and kept an eye out. We can’t do it without you!” police said in a post on X.
The boy was last seen at his home near Dundas Street West and Parkerhill Road, west of Hurontario Street, around 8:30 p.m. Thursday and a command post was established as police were concerned for his safety.

Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau seek assistance from the public in locating a 12-year-old missing vulnerable youth.
On Thursday, December 21, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the missing youth, Ethan, was last seen at his residence in the area of Parkerhill Road and Dundas Street West in Mississauga.
Ethan is described as 4’11, 106 pounds. He has a medium build, with brown skin, and a dark complexion, with curly black hair medium length below shoulders, and no other distinguishing marks or features. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket with red trim inside the hood, blue t-shirt, dark colored pants with red markings on the outside, and black and red high top Nike running shoes.
Police and family are concerned for Ethan’s well-being.
