A Barrie woman missing for more than a year was recently seen in North Bay, police said Tuesday.
“The Barrie Police Service received information that Autumn (Shaganash) was seen in North Bay on June 21 in the area of Regina Street and McIntyre Street East,” police said.
“The North Bay Police Service is sharing this information in an attempt to locate Autumn.”
Shaganash, 27, was last seen June 10, 2023, at around 10 a.m. when she departed a residence in the Letitia Heights area in Barrie, walking with a friend towards the lakeshore for the Air Show.
“Shortly after departing, Autumn was captured on video walking with her friend on Shelley Lane continuing towards Sunnidale Road,” Barrie police said.
“Autumn was last observed walking southbound on Sunnidale Road at Letitia Street.”
She is described as an Indigenous female, 5-foot-3, 130 pounds and last observed wearing a black hoodie, beige leggings, slip-on Puma sandals and carrying a Couture purse.
“The Barrie Police are confident that someone has knowledge of this missing person investigation and asking for the public’s assistance,” police said.
