A senior who was reported missing in Pit Meadows has been found deceased, Ridge Meadows RCMP reported Sunday morning, March 10.
“Ridge Meadows RCMP is updating the public that the 71-year-old man that was reported missing on March 8, 2024 has been located deceased,” the police statement said, adding “our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.”
No further details were provided.
Mauro Comensoli was last seen in the 14300-block of Harris Road on Friday, March 8, wearing a white shirt, red and black striped pyjama pants, black slip-on shoes, and a silver medical alert bracelet.
At the time, RCMP expressed concern for his well-being, advising that Comensoli was not dressed for the weather, was not familiar with the area, and could seem “confused or disoriented.”
An online statement by the family said “it is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we report the recovery of Mauro and his subsequent passing. At this time our family is respectively requesting privacy as we grieve together.”
