”Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 12:20 (p.m.) in relation to what appeared to be a body in the pond. Upon arrival an individual was located deceased,” spokesperson Const. Sandasha Bough said at the scene.
A person in a black shirt and green pants was seen lying on the embankment.
The major crime unit has taken over the probe, but few details are available. It’s not clear yet whether the death is suspicious and police could not share the age or gender of the person found.
Investigators could be soon surveying the edge of pond that is just west of Jackson Road. It’s connected to Cudmore Crescent, a suburban street, by a short paved path.
Bough urged anyone with information to reach out to London police at (519) 661-5670.
