π¨ Missing Man in Whitefish Lake, Alberta β Joshua Francis Saulteaux, 25 β Last Seen May 5, 2025
Joshua Francis Saulteaux won a million dollars on a scratch-and-win ticket. Several weeks later, he vanished.
His family in the Northern Alberta community where the 25-year-old was last seen fears the win might have something to do with his disappearance.
βItβs more of a curse than a blessing,β said his uncle, Francis Morin, in an interview with 660 NewsRadio.
Saulteaux was last seen on May 5, 2025. The next day, one of his cousins went to look for him in his new RV β a purchase made possible by his lottery win. The RV was parked beside his motherβs home in Whitefish Lake First Nation, about 220 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.
According to family members, they discovered a disturbing scene β blood splattered inside the RV, but no sign of Joshua.
That was just weeks after his big win and only a day after he told his mother he feared people were after him.
