Lethbridge Police say they are seeking the public’s help to locate Tia Blood, a local woman who went missing last week.
Officials say Blood, 34, was reported missing by her family on October 21 but had not been seen for two days prior to that time.
“She was last seen on October 19, 2022 in the West Highlands area of West Lethbridge driving a black 2017 Chevrolet Silverado truck,” police said in a release.
A subsequent investigation tracked her cellphone to the Cardston area, but she was not located in that community.
However, Blood’s truck was there. A man and woman found in the vehicle fled the area when they were spotted. Police have identified the pair and say both are considered “persons of interest”.
Blood is described as:
Indigenous;
About 160 centimeters (5’3″) tall;
77 kilograms (170 pounds);
have mid-shoulder length hair;
Having a tattoo of the word “CADE” on her neck; and
Possibly walks with a limp due to a recent injury.
According to police, she was wearing dark clothing at the time of her disappearance.
Lethbridge Police are seeking information from the public as to Blood’s whereabouts but are aware information about the incident is circulating on social media.
“Because this is an open, active and ongoing investigation by members of the CID, police are unable to comment on social media posts or disclose details that could compromise the integrity of the investigation,” police said.
There is currently no further information, including on the people interested in the case.
