Two teenagers are facing charges after they allegedly kidnapped and attempted to ransom a person.
Toronto police responded to calls of a person with a gun near Bellamy Road and Lawrence Avenue East just before 5 a.m. Friday morning.
Police say two teenagers abducted a person at gunpoint and made a ransom demand.
Officers say they found the vehicle but were unable to stop them.
The suspects were found hours later when they got into a collision near McNicoll Avenue and Midland Avenue.
Police say both suspects were arrested after a brief foot pursuit.
The victim was found in the vehicle suffering from gun shot wounds.
Paramedics took the victim to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Police say two guns were recovered.
