Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate the disappearance of Dave MacDermott, who went missing 20 years ago today.
Dave MacDermott was last seen on the evening of November 9, 2002, at his residence on Mill Street. Mr. MacDermott was reported missing after he failed to meet friends on November 9 and November 10, as he had previously arranged.
When he was reported missing, Mr. MacDermott was 30 years old and described as 6’1″ tall, 186 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes, and had a small ladybug tattoo between his shoulder blades.
Mr. MacDermott frequented several Kitchener and Waterloo establishments, including Roxanne’s, Club Renaissance, the Silver Spur, and Howl at the Moon.
“Sadly, the MacDermott family has been waiting 20 years for some form of closure regarding the whereabouts of Dave,” said John Goodman, Acting Chief of Police. “We join them in appealing for anyone with knowledge about the disappearance of Mr. MacDermott to come forward and provide that information.”
Investigators believe that someone connected to Mr. MacDermott has information about his disappearance and continue to keep the investigation open.
