🚨 Human Remains Found in Winnipeg Backlane – Police Launch Homicide Investigation
On November 23, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report involving potential human remains located in a backlane in the 600 block of Selkirk Avenue.
North District officers secured the scene, and members of the Forensic Identification Unit took custody of the remains. Following an autopsy, investigators confirmed that the partial remains are human.
The Homicide Unit is now treating the incident as a suspicious death. At this time, there is no additional information regarding the identity of the deceased.
