🚨 Human Remains Found in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield Ditch – Police Investigation Underway
A woman’s remains have been found in a ditch in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Police say they were called around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday after a worker spotted bones in a ditch along des Érables Blvd. near Gérard-Cadieux Blvd.
“After analysis, we can confirm that the bones are human, specifically those of a woman,” the SQ stated.
Investigators, forensic identification specialists, and a police dog handler attended the scene Wednesday to examine the area and gather evidence.
The investigation continues as police work to identify the victim and determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
