Fisher Branch Manitoba RCMP investigate found skeletal remains near the water on Jackhead Beach

On September 28, 2022, at approximately 8:55 am, Fisher Branch RCMP received a report that someone walking near the water on Jackhead Beach found what appeared to be a human bone. Officers attended and consulted a Forensic Anthropologist, who confirmed the bone is consistent with human remains.
At this time, there is no evidence of criminality in relation to the bone, but the remains have been sent for further testing and the investigation continues.
