The 14-year-old youth who was reported missing from Eskasoni on August 13 has been located by police and is safe.
At approximately 11:30 pm last night, the RCMP Air Services reported a fire in an isolated location in the Canoe Lake area.
RCMP officers on the ground made their way to this area and at 1 a.m. where they located the missing girl and the man she was believed to be with.
Both were taken into police custody without incident and transported out of the wooded area.
The youth has been released, the man remains in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

Emergency Alert: Police are trying to locate 14-year-old Mary (Molly) Martin.
She is described as Indigenous, 5-foot-1 and 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a rose tattoo on her left forearm and may be wearing eyeglasses.
She is believed to be with 47-year-old Darcy Doyle who is described as 6-foot tall, 190 pounds, with long black hair, brown eyes, a full beard and mustache.
Police believe Martin and Doyle were in the area of Canoe Lake, southeast Cape Breton at approximately 7PM Wednesday and are thought to be using a green coloured ATV.
