🚨 Missing Woman in London, Ontario – Shelley Joy Desrochers, 42 – Last Seen January 2, 2016
The disappearance of Shelley Joy Desrochers has left her family searching for answers for nearly a decade.
Shelley was last seen on January 2, 2016, in the area of Lorne Avenue and English Street in east London, Ontario. Her final confirmed sighting was by a police officer. She was 42 years old at the time.
Shelley’s sister Laura remembers her as a loving person who valued time with family. In the months leading up to her disappearance, Shelley had been struggling with PTSD and substance use, but her family says nothing seemed unusual during their last conversation on December 31, 2015.
Since Shelley vanished, investigators have explored many possibilities — including accidental death, starting a new life, or foul play connected to what police described as a “high-risk lifestyle.” None of these theories have been confirmed.
Several of Shelley’s personal belongings were later recovered in separate locations. Her purse was found in a residence associated with drug activity. Three years later, her health card was discovered in a clinic parking lot on Hamilton Road. Her cell phone was also located. Despite these developments and hundreds of tips, Shelley has never been found.
The case has received widespread media attention, including posters across London and a podcast titled Finding Shelley. Investigators continue to believe foul play may be involved, but there has not been enough evidence to lay charges.
