🚨 Missing Woman Last Seen October 2, 2024 in M’Chigeeng First Nation, Ontario
Juanita “Winnie” Migwans had been facing struggles in the years leading up to her disappearance. Though she once dreamed of becoming a social worker, her path shifted after falling into drug use. Despite these challenges, she remained close to her family and especially her mother in M’Chigeeng First Nation. Her sudden disappearance without any identification, phone, or bank cards has left a devastated family searching for answers.
Investigators now believe that Juanita may have been targeted or abducted, possibly by individuals involved in drug trafficking. She had no history of running away and maintained close ties to her community. Volunteers, family members, and police have conducted extensive searches and posted flyers across Northern Ontario, but no significant clues have surfaced.
A $100,000 reward is being offered for information, underscoring the urgency and deep concern surrounding her case. Billboards and a renewed social media campaign are being launched in hopes of encouraging someone to come forward. The family insists Juanita did not vanish voluntarily and that someone, somewhere, knows what happened.
