🚨 Missing Teen in Campbell River, British Columbia – Jordan Holling, 17 – Last Seen October 16, 2017
It has been over eight years since Jordan Alexander Holling disappeared from Campbell River, British Columbia, yet his case remains one of the most haunting and mysterious unsolved disappearances in the region. At just 17 years old, Jordan vanished after leaving a friend’s house in the early hours of October 16, 2017, and has not been seen since.
Born on November 1, 1999, Jordan was a bright and kind-hearted young man who loved computers and technology. He was just two credits shy of graduating from Carihi Secondary School and had plans to pursue a career in computer technology. At the time of his disappearance, he was working part-time at the A&W restaurant near Discovery Harbour in Campbell River. Friends and family describe him as gentle, responsible, and deeply loved by those who knew him.
🕓 The Night He Disappeared
On the evening of October 15, 2017, Jordan spent time with friends at an apartment on 16th Avenue after finishing his shift at A&W. The group listened to music, played video games, and hung out — nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Around 1:30 a.m., Jordan decided to head home to his mother’s nearby house on 17th Avenue — a short walk that should have taken no more than 15 minutes.
Surveillance footage later captured Jordan walking north on Highway 19 near 14th Avenue around 2:00 a.m. In the video, he appeared calm and was not running or in distress. Strangely, he was no longer carrying his skateboard — an item he had when he left his friend’s place. His skateboard was later found abandoned in the same area. Jordan never made it home that night and did not show up for work the following day.
🚨 The Search for Jordan
When Jordan failed to arrive at work or contact anyone, his worried family immediately reported him missing to the Campbell River RCMP. Police quickly launched a search effort involving search dogs, volunteers, and Campbell River Search and Rescue teams. They scoured the area on foot, horseback, and ATV. Despite extensive efforts, no trace of Jordan was found beyond his skateboard.
Police reviewed his cellphone and bank records, but no clues emerged. His phone and backpack have never been located. Investigators sent his laptop for analysis, and his social media accounts were reviewed, but again, nothing helpful surfaced. Several possible sightings were reported in the days following his disappearance, including one at Nunns Creek Park, but none were confirmed.
🕯️ Family Efforts and Community Support
Jordan’s disappearance deeply affected the Campbell River community. Hundreds of volunteers joined search efforts and helped distribute flyers across the city. His family received an outpouring of support — from meals provided by strangers to vigils held at Spirit Square. In 2018, his family launched the Random Act of Kindness project to keep his memory alive, encouraging people to perform kind acts in Jordan’s name while sharing information about his case.
In interviews, Jordan’s parents, Andrea Wiley and Morgan Holling, have expressed their continued faith in the RCMP investigation. They remain convinced that Jordan did not run away, emphasizing that his disappearance was completely out of character. “Something happened to him,” Morgan said, voicing the family’s enduring concern.
