🚨 Cold Case: Disappearance of Robert Norman Plewes, 19, from Toronto, Ontario – June 30, 1984
On June 30, 1984, Robert Norman Plewes, a 19-year-old Caucasian male, left Toronto in the family pick-up truck heading north for the Canada Day long weekend. It remains unknown if he was alone or with someone else. The truck was discovered abandoned six days later outside the west gate of Algonquin Park.
Robert had taken limited clothing and some survival gear, including knives, a compass, field glasses, two guns, and little to no food. Investigators confirmed he used a credit card to fill the truck with gas at the family’s regular service station. A quiet and mild-mannered young man, Robert worked as a landscape gardener and was a member of the Royal Regiment of Canada. Over 41 years later, no trace of him has ever been found, leaving this case unsolved.
