Calgary police are asking for the public’s help after a man’s remains were found on the Stoney Nakoda Nation.
Keanen Crane, 22, was reported missing after last being seen in the northeast community of Whitehorn on April 11. A month later, on May 14, human remains were found near Morley. Police have matched the DNA of the remains to Crane.
Given the circumstances of his disappearance and the discovery of his remains, police have ruled Crane’s death suspicious.
“Keanan’s family members are devastated by this discovery and believe there are people that may know what happened to him,” said CPS Staff Sgt. Sean Gregson. “Though his remains were found on the Stoney Nakoda Nation, we know that Keanan resided in Calgary and we encourage anyone with information to come forward to police.”
Anyone who may have information regarding Crane’s activities before he went missing or who he may have been interacting with are asked to call police at 403-266-1234. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
