The Calgary Police Service and Crime Stoppers have joined together to continue investigating historical missing persons cases.
We are asking for the public’s help to gather information regarding the disappearance of Moui NGUYEN, also known as “Ni”, who was 29 years old when she was reported missing. Her family last saw her in Calgary in January of 1990. NGUYEN was a refugee from Vietnam who arrived in Calgary from Thailand in the mid 1980s. NGUYEN worked in Downtown Calgary at a coffee shop and a clothing store called La Quinta Fashions located at 855 2 Street S.W.
It was reported at the time that NGUYEN had ended a relationship with an intimate partner shortly before her disappearance.
The investigation has been ongoing, and members of the Calgary Police Service Missing Persons Team would like to identify and speak with people who have information about NGUYEN and her whereabouts after January 1990.
Photos of NGUYEN are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom and the Calgary Crime Stoppers website under the cold cases section.
