With little information available to investigate, police are looking for assistance from the public to help identify an unknown woman who died in August 2022.
For more than a month, we have been working diligently to identify a deceased woman found in southwest Calgary. At this point, the only information available to police is CCTV footage and a few of the woman’s belongings.
We make every effort to reunite missing persons with their family, even after death, but to date, there has not been a missing persons report filed that matches the deceased.
It is believed the deceased may not be from the Calgary area, and that is why our efforts have not led to a positive identification.
We are not investigating this as a criminal matter, as the death was determined non-criminal – we are looking to connect a deceased individual with their family, to provide closure.
The woman is described as approximately 5’ 4” to 5’ 7” tall, with a slim build, approximately 120 to 150 pounds, with dyed blond hair, blue/green eyes and has a tribal sun tattoo on her lower back.
At the time of her death, she was wearing dark pants similar to scrubs and a green camouflage Cabela’s hoodie. On her person, she had a purple Reebok duffle bag, a large, grey and black Coach purse and a unique gold ring.
Anyone with information about the deceased is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through either of the following methods:
