In the interest of public safety, we are notifying citizens of several missing items of clothing belonging to law enforcement agencies that were taken from a local uniform supply business earlier this week in the northeast community of Horizon.
On Monday, Feb. 13, 2023, at approximately 5:50 a.m., police were called for reports of a commercial break and enter at a clothing company that manufactures and tailors uniforms for law enforcement and peace officers.
Upon arrival, police determined a number of missing uniforms from the display located at the front of the store, including missing jackets and pants belonging to Calgary and Saskatoon police services.
Citizens are reminded that if they have a concern about an individual identifying themselves as a police officer, they can request to see the individual’s police badge and police photo identification card. Citizens can also call the police non-emergency number to verify an officer’s identity.
We also wish to notify the public that no firearm, ammunition, police radio equipment or police use of force options were stolen.
Anyone with information about this incident, or who may come across these items, is asked to contact CPS by calling the non-emergency number at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
