A Hamilton missing person case from 2018 has come to a tragic end with the discovery of the man’s body.
Police have confirmed it was William Bokstein.
His death is not suspicious.
The 50-year-old was reported missing in late February 2018 by concerned family after he didn’t come home. He was last seen on surveillance video on Feb. 25 in Niagara Falls. He had checked into a hotel, but never checked out. Police later found his car.
Bokstein was a loving father and family man. He worked as a personal support worker and had been dealing with the loss of loved ones around the time of his disappearance.
The family has asked for privacy.
Hamilton police thanked Niagara Regional Police, Ontario Provincial Police and the Centre of Forensic Sciences for helping bring closure to the family.
