Calgary police say the death of a Calgary man who went missing in 2015 has been deemed a homicide.
The body of Bradley Shaw, who was 27 at the time of his disappearance, was found Oct. 6, 2018, after Mounties in Slave Lake responded to a report that human remains had been found in a rural area near the town.
A composite sketch and model rendering produced by Mounties was seen by an investigator within the Calgary police missing-person unit, who suspected it to be of Shaw.
It was later confirmed by the Office of the Medical Examiner, who used dental records to verify the identity of the remains.
Shaw was believed to have gone missing under suspicious circumstances and met with foul play.
A number of investigative leads were followed, police said, which led officers to Airdrie, where Shaw was last seen on Sept. 2, 2015.
