Today, Saturday May 6th at approximately 12:10 pm, the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service were called to the area of McKellar St and Oak Ave for a reported attempted child abduction.
A female child was walking down the pathway beside 305 Oak Ave towards St. Vincent DePaul school yard when a unknown male approached her and then when she walked away from him he began chasing her down the pathway.
The youth was able to get away to safety and called Police immediately.
The male suspect is described as;
White male, 30-40 years old. Thin build with short brown hair, unshaven facial hair with missing teeth. He was seen wearing a grey shirt and black sweat pants. The suspect had what is believed to be a snake tattoo on his neck and a sleeve tattoo on one of his arms. He had a lip and nose piercing as well as a scar on his chin area.
