Attempted Abduction of Three Year Old in Malakwa, BC

On July 6th, Sicamous RCMP received a report of an attempted abduction of a 3 year old at a residence in 4000 block of Malakwa Road, in Malakwa, BC near Sicamous.

The mother of the child reported that her child was playing on the front lawn of their rural residence at approximately 10:30 am. The mother heard yelling and when she looked, she observed a male standing approximately 10 feet from the child, with what appeared to be a small dog or puppy. The mother called the child to her, while the male scooped up the dog, boarded a late model Lincoln sedan and departed.

The male is described as;

  • Caucasian
  • 40-45 years of age
  • Short, thinning blond hair
  • Average Height
  • Average Build

The vehicle is described as;

  • Lincoln, similar to a MKZ
  • Black
  • Late model
  • 4 door
  • Bearing a British Columbia licence plate

The dog is described as;

  • Small
  • Tan and white in color
