Three men from Windsor have been arrested and a weapon seized as part of an abduction investigation.
Windsor Police received a call on Friday night from someone who said a relative was being held against his will by three men who wanted ransom money.
The complainant was given instructions on how to deliver cash in order for the relative to be released.
Police say the complainant received another call on Saturday morning and detectives learned that one of the suspects was at a location on Ottawa St.
The victim was found and the first suspect was found inside a stolen vehicle with stolen licence plates.
Police say a second suspect was found a block away, in possession of a handgun, a prohibited weapon, cocaine and meth while the third suspect was arrested on Dot St. on Saturday night.
Corey Peterson, 34, Matthew Imeson, 37, and Paulo Reis, 36, all face numerous charges including Forcible Confinement, Kidnap for Ransom, Extortion, and Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence.
