🚨 Lilly and Jack Sullivan – 3 Months Missing from Lansdowne Station, Nova Scotia
Saturday marks three months since six-year-old Lilly Sullivan and four-year-old Jack Sullivan were reported missing from their home in Lansdowne Station, Nova Scotia. The children were last seen on the morning of May 1, 2025, and despite intensive efforts by the RCMP, no trace of them has been found.
On Friday, the RCMP declined an interview request from CTV News and did not respond to emailed questions. Instead, they referred to their July 16 news release, which outlined the ongoing investigative efforts. That release stated:
- Approximately 5,000 video files are being reviewed
- Over 600 public tips have been submitted and are under assessment
- At least 60 individuals have been interviewed, with some undergoing polygraph tests
- Officers are submitting judicial authorizations to seize and examine materials and digital devices that may provide clues
“That tells me in itself that they suspect that there’s a crime involved,” said Chris Lewis, CTV News Public Safety Analyst and former commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police. “They must have some grounds to believe that it’s a crime, other than just the fact that they’ve never been able to find them any other way.”

According to investigators, the children’s mother and stepfather reported seeing Lilly inside the house and hearing Jack that morning. It was initially believed that the siblings may have wandered into nearby woods. Police previously confirmed the children were seen with family members during the afternoon of May 1. A pink blanket belonging to Lilly was found outside near the home the same day they were reported missing and has since been seized as part of the investigation.
🕵️♀️ Ongoing Investigation
During a July 16 video news conference, RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Carlie McCann stated that police are investigating all possible scenarios. When asked what they believe happened to the children, McCann replied, “Police are investigating every aspect of this.” She confirmed the pink blanket belonged to Lilly and said its significance in the case is still under investigation.
McCann emphasized the volume of tips being received and said that every one of them is being followed up on. The investigation remains active, and efforts are ongoing behind the scenes.
Despite the lack of public updates, Lewis urged continued engagement. “A police service never gives up on a case like this. It may get a little colder… but over time, you take another look at it. You balance it all out in terms of the latest technology and forensics, and you get fresh eyes looking at it.”
He added that he found it unfortunate the RCMP didn’t speak on the three-month anniversary. “I find that rather odd that they wouldn’t put someone before the camera to at least help bring some attention to it from a public perspective.”

Ce samedi marque trois mois depuis que Lilly Sullivan, 6 ans, et Jack Sullivan, 4 ans, ont été signalés disparus de leur domicile à Lansdowne Station, en Nouvelle-Écosse, le 1er mai 2025. Depuis, aucun signe des enfants n’a été retrouvé malgré des recherches et une enquête approfondie menées par la GRC.
Vendredi, la GRC a refusé une demande d’entrevue de CTV News et n’a pas répondu aux questions par courriel, renvoyant plutôt au communiqué du 16 juillet, qui précisait :
- Environ 5 000 fichiers vidéo sont en cours d’examen
- Plus de 600 signalements du public ont été reçus
- Au moins 60 personnes ont été interrogées, certaines soumises à un polygraphe
- Des mandats judiciaires sont en cours pour saisir et analyser du matériel et des appareils électroniques
« Cela me dit qu’ils soupçonnent qu’un crime a été commis », déclare Chris Lewis, analyste de la sécurité publique pour CTV News et ancien commissaire de la Police provinciale de l’Ontario.
📌 Derniers détails connus
Selon la GRC, la mère et le beau-père ont vu Lilly à l’intérieur de la maison et ont entendu Jack ce matin-là. Il a d’abord été suggéré que les enfants aient pu s’aventurer dans les bois voisins. Un couverture rose appartenant à Lilly a été retrouvée à l’extérieur, près de la maison, le jour même et saisie par la police.
🕵️♀️ Enquête en cours
Lors de la conférence de presse du 16 juillet, la caporale Carlie McCann a déclaré que toutes les pistes étaient examinées. Interrogée sur ce que croit la police, elle a simplement répondu que « toutes les facettes sont examinées ».
Elle a confirmé que la couverture rose appartenait bien à Lilly et a déclaré que son importance faisait toujours partie de l’enquête. Elle a ajouté que les autorités continuaient de recevoir des signalements du public et qu’ils étaient tous analysés.
Lewis a conclu en disant que, même en l’absence de nouveaux indices, l’enquête continuera. « Un service de police n’abandonne jamais une affaire comme celle-ci… Avec le temps, on revient sur le dossier, on utilise les nouvelles technologies, les sciences judiciaires, et de nouveaux enquêteurs peuvent apporter un regard neuf. »
