Johannes Wynia has been located.
The Killaloe OPP are seeking assistance from the public in locating a person reported missing in early May, according to a news release from the OPP on May 31.
Members of the Killaloe OPP responded to a report of a missing person on Schutt Road in the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan on May 3. The missing person was identified as Johannes Wynia, 71, of Palmer Rapids, who was last seen in the Killaloe, Golden Lake area on May 22 and may be travelling on a bicycle. Wynia is known to travel on a bicycle through areas of Eastern Ontario and parts of Quebec. Police are concerned for their wellbeing. The missing person is described as 5′ 10″ with a medium build and silver grey hair. They may have a moustache and possibly go by the name of “Hans.” A photo was not provided by police, but Wynia’s niece Tamara Tiemersma submitted recent photos (see above and below).
