Family members of Barbara Munroe say the 77-year-old woman was found safe at Duke Point ferry terminal in Nanaimo.
The Shawnigan Lake RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 77-year-old Barbara Munroe.
Munroe was last seen by her husband at their shared residence in Cobble Hill around 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 18th, 2018.
Munroe told her husband that she was heading to the pool in their retirement community, but according to friends she never arrived. Munroe’s credit card was used at a Petro Canada in the Duncan area but police do not know where she may have gone afterward.
Munroe is reportedly driving a brown 2005 Hyundai Accent with British Columbia license plate AVC517.
She is described as 5 feet, six inches tall, slim build, with short white/grey hair, and wearing black pants, black jacket, and possibly a blue shirt.
Munroe has a bad right hip and walks with a limp and suffers from a medical condition. It is possible she is lost and confused.
Anyone who sees Munroe or her vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately and contact their local police department.
