Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman who died last month in Winnipeg.
Police officers and investigators in the missing persons unit have tried to identify the woman, who was found dead on Aug. 10 in a building on Main Street between Henry and Alexander avenues, but have been unsuccessful.
A sketch has been created in hopes of identifying the woman and notifying her family, police said in a news release on Thursday.
The woman is described as being in her 20s or 30s, with short dark hair, brown eyes and eyebrows that have been coloured in black.
She is approximately five feet, five inches tall, with a very thin build, and has a mole above her left eye, police said.
The woman was wearing a grey Bench hoodie, black pants with a bright yellow stripe down the side and black socks and runners.
She also had a large tan-coloured handbag and a blue Roots suitcase, police said.
If anyone has information that could assist investigators in identifying her, please contact the missing persons unit at 204-986-6250 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS or winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
