Every year, roughly 100,000 people are reported missing in Canada, with just over half of those people being minors. With that being said, statistics show that 61% of missing adult reports in 2020 were removed within 24 hours, while a further 89% were removed within a week, which shows that many of these cases are resolved quickly and without issue. But, unfortunately, not every disappearance can be solved so neatly, and those long-running cases can often end up cold and forgotten about.
