Myrna Montgrand was 14 years old when she disappeared from her home community of La Loche, SK on April 21, 1979.
She was visiting her sister and friends for a party, and was last seen outside the residence around 5am. An individual has come forward claiming to have heard screaming at a local construction site that same evening, but this report remains unconfirmed. A bar and garage were built over the contraction site the following year, and with no other leads, Myrna’s case remains open with the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Historical Homicide Unit.
Family describes Myrna as a loving, caring young girl who enjoyed babysitting her younger nieces, and helping her mother and sister around their homes. More then 40 Years after her disappearance, the family continues to search for any information that may help bring the case to justice.
