🚨 Search for Two Missing Snowmobilers in Island Lake, Manitoba – Kyle Mason, 28, & Taryne Mason, 27 – Last Seen December 15 2025
On December 17, 2025 at 12:45 p.m., Island Lake RCMP received a report of two missing snowmobilers from St. Theresa Point First Nation who failed to return home after going out for a ride.
Kyle Mason, 28, and Taryne Mason, 27, left the community on snowmobile in the early morning hours of December 15 and have not been seen since. It’s possible the two were heading out to a cabin located on Cantin Lake, but no contact has been made with either since they left. No information on their intended destination or route of travel was provided to anyone.
The family of the two missing persons have made contact with numerous friends, relatives, and acquaintances with no new information obtained.
Local search parties have now been organized and are actively searching the winter and ice roads in the area.
The Island Lake RCMP, along with family members, are asking anyone who may have seen the two out on snowmobile or perhaps have information on where they were headed to contact the Island Lake RCMP Detachment at 204-456-2626.
