The Regina Police Service is asking the public for information pertaining to an incident that occurred this afternoon.
On July 23, 2019 at approximately 12:03 p.m., police were dispatched to a parking lot on the 400 block of Albert Street North for a report of an abduction. A vehicle with a single occupant pulled into a parking lot where a small black car pulled up behind it. A suspect exited the black car holding what appeared to be a firearm and pointed it at driver of the vehicle. The driver exited the vehicle and was forced into the small black car with the suspect. Both vehicles then drove away. No shots were reported to be fired.
The victim’s vehicle is described as a black car or smaller SUV with four doors and a roof rack. A photo of the victim’s vehicle accompanies this release. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a black, four-door car.
Police believe there are at least two suspects involved in this incident.
This incident is not believed to be connected to the current RCMP investigation into the two homicide suspects from British Columbia.
