Prince Albert Police have confirmed the human remains found just outside the city last week were those of Dylan Chretien.
Chretien had been reported missing in early November, after his abandoned vehicle was found in Nordale.
The 30 year old, who friends say was based in Lloydminster, was last seen in P.A. Oct. 27th. Friends told paNOW they have no idea why he would be here.
Police previously reported they suspected foul play in his disappearance and Chief Jon Bergen told paNOW the death and circumstances were suspicious.
“We can’t comment on the investigation at this time but it’s a joint investigation with the RCMP because of the recovery [of the remains.]”
Bergen wouldn’t give specifics, but said the remains were found “north of Prince Albert in a rural area.” He added the discovery was the result of their investigations into the initial missing person inquiry.
Police were able to identify the remains as those of Chretien following a forensic autopsy.
They are not releasing the cause of death.
