It’s a tragic end to a family’s frantic search.
Police have confirmed the body found shortly after 1 p.m. June 28 in an area near River Road in Pembroke is that of missing 17-year-old Myrah Rogers-Goersch.
Ontario Provincial Police first appealed to the public June 23, reporting Myrah had been last seen June 20 at about 3:30 p.m. on Ellis Avenue in Pembroke.
“Foul play is not suspected at this time,” reads an OPP press release sent June 29 at 7 p.m. “The cause of death and circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation by the UOV OPP with the assistance of the Regional Coroner’s Officer, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.”
