🚨 Missing Boy in Burnaby, British Columbia – Kai Pavlovic, 11 – Police Working Around the Clock
Police in British Columbia are searching for 11-year-old Kai Pavlovic, who has gone missing from the Burnaby area. Authorities say they are “working around the clock” to locate the boy, whose family has deep concerns for his safety.
Burnaby RCMP received a request for a wellbeing check on September 26, 2025. After speaking with Kai’s family, investigators believe he may be staying with a caretaker who is unknown to police. Despite extensive efforts and numerous resources being deployed, officers have not yet confirmed his whereabouts.
“Our investigators are making every effort to find Kai and we are asking for the public’s help as part of those ongoing efforts,” said a police spokesperson. Authorities have urged anyone who knows where he is, or who may be caring for him, to contact them immediately so they can confirm his safety.
The RCMP also addressed public questions regarding an Amber Alert, clarifying that “Amber Alerts are activated in cases where an abduction has been confirmed and there is believed to be imminent danger to the child. At this point, the information does not meet the criteria for issuing an Amber Alert.”
📌 Family’s Appeal
Kai’s family, who live in both New Zealand and Canada, have made a public appeal for help, expressing grave concern for the boy’s wellbeing. A Givealittle fundraising page has been created to assist with travel and search efforts.
“Kai has been living in Canada and had limited contact with family overseas the last 12 months. Recently concern for his wellbeing was raised by his deceased father’s family and shared with his NZ family,” the post explains. “All attempts to ensure Kai’s wellbeing have failed and family have grave concerns for his safety.”
The family says they are now heading to Canada to assist in the search for answers.
