RCMP are releasing more information as the investigation into the disappearance of a Kamloops woman continues.
Shannon White, 32, has been missing since Nov. 1, when White left her home in Kamloops’s Lower Sahali neighbourhood at approximately 8 a.m. She didn’t arrive at her job at Kamloops Hyundai on Notre Dame Drive as expected. The next day her Jeep was found parked on Nicola Street near 3 Avenue.
Her vehicle was observed travelling west on the Trans-Canada Highway, shortly after she was supposed to have arrived at work.
RCMP have now confirmed that on the same day she was reported missing, her Jeep was also travelled northbound on the Yellowhead Highway, past Rayleigh, before returning south, passing Rayleigh about 45 minutes later, according to an RCMP media release issued today, Nov. 15.
“We are updating the public with this information as these search areas are large and winter is fast approaching,” Cpl. Dave Marshall with Kamloops RCMP Serious Crime Unit said in the release. “The more people out looking for Shannon in these areas the better.”
RCMP said anyone who lives in, or is familiar with, the rural areas north of Kamloops is asked to be on the lookout for anything related to the investigation, including any wildlife camera footage that may have captured video that could be helpful to the investigation. You can contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
