The mother of two missing children is pleading for an Amber Alert as the search continues in Lansdowne Station.
Six-year-old Lily Sullivan and four-year-old Jack Sullivan were last seen around 10 a.m. on Gairloch Road, according to the Pictou County District RCMP.
A vulnerable person’s alert was issued Friday morning, but no Amber Alert has been activated.
Their mother, Malehya Brooks-Murray, is urging officials to escalate the search, fearing her children may have been taken.
“I want an Amber Alert for my children! I want my babies home,” Brooks-Murray said in a social media post.
Lily Sullivan is described as having shoulder-length light brown hair with bangs. She might be wearing a pink sweater, pink pants, and pink boots.
Jack Sullivan is described as having short blondish hair. He’s wearing blue dinosaur boots.
No other clothing description is available.
Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston has issued a statement on the search for Lily and Jack Sullivan, recognizing the ongoing efforts of first responders and volunteers.
