Almost four months after she was reported missing, a Fredericton woman has been found, reports the city police.
“The 30-year-old female from Fredericton, N.B., reported missing on June 25, 2024, has been located safe,” the Fredericton Police Force wrote in a brief statement on social media Monday.
“The Fredericton Police Force would like to thank the public for their assistance with [the file].”
The short notice was in reference to Chelsea Sacobie, 30, of Fredericton, whom the city police advised was missing July 19.
However, on that date, the police force noted that Sacobie had first been reported as missing weeks before, on June 25.
As the weeks wore on, the police force renewed its public pleas for tips from the public on the missing woman’s whereabouts.
