The Fort St John RCMP are thanking the public for thier help in finding a woman who has been missing for 6 months.
Police were searching for the 67-year-old and looking to confirm her wellbeing.
Mounties say with the help of Interpol, the woman was located in California and was found to be safe and sound.
The woman’s family has been updated and reassured of her wellbeing.
She was reported missing on March 31, 2023, but had not been spoken to by family since approximately September 2022.
The Fort St John RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating missing 67-year-old, Joy Maureen Davies, to confirm her wellbeing.

Joy was reported missing on March 31, 2023, but had not been spoken to by family since approximately September 2022. Joy does not have a known cell phone number and the family does not have a last known address where she used to live. The family is concerned that she may be suffering from some mental health concerns. Joy was last seen in the Fort St John area on September 29, 2022, where police interacted with her in the Baldonnel area.
Joy Maureen Davies is described as:
Caucasian female,
5’3″ (160cm) tall,
124 lbs (56 kgs),
Green eyes,
Blonde hair.
The Fort St John RCMP continue to investigate and request the public’s assistance in locating Joy in order to confirm her well being.
