Vancouver Police are asking for help to locate a missing 35-year-old man who was last seen near International Village on Wednesday.
Alan “AJ” Birtwistle left the shopping centre, located near Abbott and Pender Street, around 3:30 p.m. on April 13. He was last seen walking on Carrall Street towards East Hastings, but has not returned home or been seen since. His absence is out of character and police are concerned for his safety.
Mr. Birtwistle is white, with fair skin. He’s six feet tall, with a medium build, shoulder-length curly-brown hair, and a brown beard. When last seen, Mr. Birtwistle was wearing a beige and tan jacket, olive green pants, brown leather boots, a grey cross-body satchel, and a blue “Sonic the Hedgehog” backpack.
Anyone who sees Alan “AJ” Birtwistle is asked to call 9-1-1 and stay with him until first responders arrive.
