Stephen was last seen on the evening of September 29, 2025, leaving his residence in the Pointe-Claire area of Montreal’s West Island. He has not been seen since.
Stephen struggles with mental health issues and left without his prescribed medication. His family and investigators are deeply concerned for his safety and wellbeing. He communicates in English and is known to frequent Tim Hortons restaurants in the area.

Family members describe Stephen as kind and gentle, but likely disoriented, confused, or anxious due to being without his medication. His sister, Julia Sands, said he frequently went for walks at night, which was not unusual for him, but his disappearance is completely out of character.
“We’re really trying to focus on getting him back as soon as possible,” said Julia. “If anyone sees him, please don’t approach — call 911 immediately so police can assist.”
