Police in Nanaimo are hoping the public can provide information that will help locate a missing man.
According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, Sajed Haddadi, 26, has not been seen since Oct. 1. His family told investigators he has never gone anywhere without informing them of his plans and because of this, they are worried for his safety.
Police say Haddadi’s family believed he was attending Vancouver Island University, but it has since been learned that he is not enrolled in classes. Police have also been unable to contact Haddadi by phone, the press release said.
Haddadi stands 5-feet-6, weighs 140 pounds and has short, dark, curly hair.
The picture provided is recent, police say.
Anyone with Haddadi’s whereabouts is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at its website, www.nanaimocrimestoppers.com or by calling 1-800-222-8477.
