Penticton RCMP has confirmed that the missing couple has been found dead.
Glen, 67, and Eva, 56, Hamakawa set out on a trip Friday in an ATV but failed to return to their camp at the Crump Recreation site on the Summerland/Princeton Highway.
Police say Search and Rescue located the couple Sunday morning in dense and steep terrain.
“We are very saddened by this loss and offer sincere condolences to their friends and family,” said Staff Sergeant Bob Vatamaniuck of the Penticton RCMP.
“The RCMP wishes to thanks the Search and Rescue teams for their tireless and selfless work in locating the couple, as well as the public who offered a lot of support.”
