Chilliwack Teen Found Safe in Burnaby After Massive Community Search
After more than two days of intensive searching, Chilliwack RCMP have confirmed that the 15-year-old boy reported missing on November 26 has been located safe and unharmed.
The teen disappeared around 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, without a phone or bus pass. Concern grew quickly, leading to a large volunteer response to help search.
On Thursday night, more than 170 volunteers joined the search, followed by another large-scale effort on Friday evening involving ground teams, canvassing, and community support in cold conditions.
The breakthrough came in the early hours of Saturday, November 29, when Metro Vancouver Transit Police located the boy in Burnaby just after 1:00 a.m.. He was found safe and immediately reunited with his family.
“The Chilliwack RCMP want to thank everyone who participated in efforts to locate him,” said Sgt. Alexandra Greenley.
The overwhelming community turnout – from volunteers braving freezing temperatures to residents sharing alerts online – played a key role in keeping the search active until he was found.
