🚨 Missing Boy in Burnaby, British Columbia – Kai Pavlovic, 11
The Burnaby RCMP is continuing to seek the public’s assistance in locating 11-year-old Kai Pavlovic.
On September 26, 2025, Burnaby RCMP received a request for a well-being check for Kai. As part of the investigation, police have spoken to Kai’s family members and have reason to believe Kai is staying with a caretaker who is unknown to police.
Over the following days, numerous investigational avenues were pursued to confirm Kai’s whereabouts but have so far been unsuccessful. Multiple resources have been dedicated to the case, and officers are actively working around the clock to locate Kai.
“Our initial priority was to make people aware Kai was missing and to share his picture with the public,” said Media Relations Officer Cpl. Laura Hirst. “Our investigators are making every effort to find Kai, and we are asking for the public’s help as part of those ongoing efforts. If someone knows where Kai is, or is currently looking after him, we are asking them to contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999 so we can confirm his safety.”

📢 RCMP Amber Alert Statement
Burnaby RCMP also addressed public questions about why an Amber Alert has not been issued. Amber Alerts are activated when an abduction has been confirmed and there is imminent danger to the child. At this stage, the information available does not meet the criteria for issuing an Amber Alert.
