🚨 Missing Boy and Grandfather in North Cowichan, British Columbia – Zidane Wavey, 6, and Norman Lecoy, 42
The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 6-year-old Zidane Wavey and his grandfather Norman Lecoy, 42. The pair were reported missing to police in October 17th 2025, and officers believe they may be travelling from British Columbia to Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Police and family members are concerned for their health and well-being. RCMP continue to follow up on all available information and are asking the public to remain vigilant.
Authorities have not issued an Amber Alert in this case. The RCMP explained that such alerts can only be activated when all conditions are met — including confirmed abduction, imminent danger, and sufficient descriptive details to assist in a rapid recovery.
